Recent Application Articles in the Trade Press

The industry press is a great place to learn about the latest Agilent EEsof EDA product applications. Here are some recent articles written by Agilent engineers and customers using our products in noteworthy applications.

RFIC Designers: GoldenGate 4.1.6 is here

This latest release of our RFIC simulator, GoldenGate, further enhances its Design-for-Yield/Verification capability. It contains more than 200 improvements in usability, performance, robustness and new features. A few highlights include:

  • Q Monte Carlo Controller (QMCC) tool that permits tuning and monitoring of parallel Monte Carlo and Corners simulations with viewing results on per trial while the parallel simulations are running
  • Support for the Cadence ADE Corner Tools with an ability to run the multiple Corners simulation in parallel
  • A boundary mode Monte Carlo with the orthogonal array option that gives better coverage with fewer trials
  • Expanded stimuli options with use of *.wmf and *.sig waveform data files
  • Large-Signal S-Parameter (LSSP) Analysis that provides small signal S-parameter results for non-linear circuits at a particular input power level

Will Your Operating System Be Supported?

In order to help you prepare for upcoming Agilent EEsof EDA product releases, we want to give you advanced notice on future operating system platform support. Beginning with ADS 2008, RFDE 2008 and IC-CAP 2008 releases, we will discontinue support for the HP-UX, Window 2000, Linux RHE3, and Solaris 8, 9 operating systems.

We will provide support for Linux RHE4, SuSE SLES 9 and Solaris 10. On PC platforms ADS 2008 will be supported on Windows Vista and Windows XP. IC-CAP 2008 will be supported on Windows XP. Information on current Software Versions, Computer Platforms, and Operating Systems.
